[Download] How to Fill PAN Card Correction Form

If the information in the PAN card is incorrect, you have to fill the PAN Card Correction Form (Form 49A). This form is available online as well as offline. This form is filled to correct personal details in PAN card due to wrong.

Step 1: Download PAN Card Correction Online Form

• Online: You can download the form online by going to NSDL or UTIITSL portal
• Offline: You can get offline form by going to PAN card service center.

Step 2: Fill Personal Details

1. Click on PAN Data/Changes option.
2. Then enter your existing PAN card number.
3. Then enter your full name correctly.
4. Enter your father’s full name. (Enter father’s full name even if you are married).
5. Enter your birthday date.
6. Tick ​​one of the boxes Male/Female/Transgender.

Step 3: Fill the Address Details correctly

1. Select Address Type: Select Residential or Office Address.
2. Complete Address: Enter your complete address here including State, District, and PIN code.
3. Contact Number: Enter your mobile number here.
4. Email ID: Provide a valid email address to receive updates.

Step 4: Changes or Corrections in PAN Card

• In the PAN card, tick the following details which you want to correct.
  • Your full name (Name on Aadhaar card and PAN card should be same).
  • Date of Birth
  • Address (Your home address or office address).
  • Father’s Name
  • Any other data.

Step 5: Attach the following documents for PAN card correction

You can attach self-attested copies of PAN card correction form.

1. Proof of Identity (POI): Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, Any one of these documents will be required.
2. Proof of Address (POA): Utility Bill, Aadhaar, Bank Statement, etc.
3. Proof of Date of Birth (DOB): Birth Certificate, 10th Marksheet,(If you have a passport that will work too).

Step 6: Photograph and Signature

1. Photograph: Paste two passport sized color photographs (3.5 cm x 2.5 cm) in the spaces provided. (Paste the latest photographs).
2. Signature/Thumb Impression:
   • Sign in the given boxes.
   • Make sure one signature goes across a photograph (for offline submission).

Step 7: Payment fees required for PAN card correction

• Indian Address: 110 Rupees for Indian citizens and GST will be added to it.
• Foreign Address: If you live outside India then you have to pay Rs.1020.
• Payment Options:
  • Online: Net banking, Credit/Debit Card, UPI Can make payment through them.
  • Offline: Demand Draft or Cash (Deposit in PAN card service center).

Step 8: Submission Process

1. Submit the PAN card correction application online:
   • You can submit PAN card correction form online by going to NSDL or UTIITSL portal.
   • Alternatively, You can send PAN card correction application to NSDL or UTIITSL address.
2. Submit the PAN card correction application offline:
   • Attach the required documents to the PAN card correction form and submit it to the center of NSDL or UTI.

Step 9: Track the PAN Card Correction Application

You can track the PAN card by going to NSDL or UTIITSL website using the 15 digit acknowledgment number. The PAN card will be delivered to your home within 10 to 15 days.
